Pros:
1) It does help with rain-out and it is really nice that it eliminates the noise of dragging the hose across the nightstand whenever you move.
2) Also, it is soft so when it ends up on your face in the middle of the night, it isn't noticeable.
Cons:
1)Pain in he neck to feed the hose in it.
2)Leaves lint all over the pillow case and sheets so get a color that matches your bed linens
3)Is a total magnet for pet hair. If you have pets this thing will look like a pet in short order with all of the hair it picks up. Definitely will need to purchase a lint roller along with it.
4) Items 2 & 3 are especially annoying because they could easily use better material to eliminate this and not sacrifice their profit. The profit margin on this thing is enormous as it can't take more than a couple of minutes to stitch together and uses about $0.50 worth of material.

the cold and hard plastic hose becomes warmer and soft.

I bought it primarily to control the condensation within the hose when I increased the humidity setting on my cpap unit. It does help, but wintertime will prove to be the real test. Otherwise it is much more comfortable than the plain hose and feels warm and soft. The fabric keeps it from slipping about as the plastic of the uncovered hose tends to do.

Also serves as a protective layer for the tube. Instructions say to use the plastic bag it came in to help feed the cover onto the tube. Works perfectly.
